Our logo represents the climb, the journey, the adventure of life, and of the arts, and of being human.
I am a miniature painter and lifelong surfer out of California. I started my journey genuinely thinking painted miniatures were actually made out of Sculpey clay. After dispelling that myth by making googly-eyed abominations on a cookie sheet, I learned the trade via White Dwarf exclusively (the wonder of YouTube was sadly not available) and began to learn the trade first, on my own, and then under the tutelage of master painter Mathew Lavanish, who not only trained me in the art of painting, but also in pinning, sculpting, and terrain-making as well.
The fire was lit 14 years ago, and I've never stopped painting. I started painting professionally 6 years ago, and have continued ever since.

I've won awards. Cool. Does that matter? I suppose it matters to some. I've had miniatures featured in the Coolminiornot hardcover back to back years, with over 10 pieces, won worldwide awards for 6mm dioramas (my favorite scale is 15mm and below), and I've handled commissions for clients all over the world.
All of that pales in comparison to the gift Geek & Sundry bestowed upon me to be a regular guest painter on their new hit show: Painters Guild.
All that aside, what I secretly like more than any of this, is to teach. When I can pass the torch and light someone's way forever, it truly means the world to me.
